Prevention Services

Prevention is the proactive process that empowers individuals and systems to foster a climate in which:

  • Alcohol is accepted only for adults when risk of adverse consequences are minimal.
  • Prescriptions, and over the counter medications are used only for the intended purposes and as intended.
  • Illegal drugs and tobacco are not used at all.

Prevention services include:

  • Informational sessions (presentations)
  • Educational services (curriculum in schools)
  • Technical Assistance to any entity interested in promoting/planning drug free community or event
  • Drug Free Workplace programming and training
  • OWI Class Education
  • Juvenile Diversion and Parent Diversion class education

ADDS Prevention Department also works with other community schools and organizations to promote Red Ribbon Week and Teddy Bear Picnic every year.

Contact any ADDS office for information on registration and class schedules.
