For most people, gambling is a form of recreation. A recent study of Iowans 18 years of age and older showed that 88% gambled. More than 5% of the population studied indicated a problem with gambling due to an inability to resist opportunities to gamble. This is a problem which can take over lives while ruining careers, education, health, and relationships.
